Frequency: Usually referring to training frequency, it is the number of training sessions completed in a given time period, usually one week. Frequency is dependent on volume, intensity, exercise choice, conditioning and training status as well as a host of other variables including innate and present recovery ability, nutrition, rest, and of course, goals.
Frequency sometimes also refers to the number of times a given muscle group or body part is exercised in a given time period but this is a 'backwards' way of thinking about frequency as it is considering but one variable which is already a part of the given variables used to determine frequency.
