Angle of Pull: The angle between the muscle insertion and the bone on which it pulls. This is the angle at which the muscle force acts relative to an axis or lever. Given the equation for torque: τ = rF sin θ, and the angle of pull of the muscle being the angle θ, the larger the angle of pull, the larger the resultant torque produced by the muscle.
