Agility is the ability to rapidly change the position of the body in space with speed and accuracy, which includes the ability to quickly accelerate and then decelerate as well as change the direction of movement quickly and efficiently. Many sports programs include agility training but such training often overlooks an important aspect of agility in that in a true environment agility is a quick reaction to a stimulus that cause the athlete to adjust their speed, direction, or body position at extremely short notice. Agility training, therefore, should take stimulus and reaction into account.
