Absorption (nutrition) is the transfer of digested solid or liquid nutrients from the digestive tract into the blood or lymph.
The passage of a substance through a bodily surface into the body's fluids or tissues. This can happen in the digestive tract, in the epithelium of the lungs, the skin, etc.
The body's taking up of radiant heat.
