I'm a physique-transformation coach (fancy schmancy term I came up with for someone who helps people lose weight &/build muscle) from Ahmedabad, India. I've been coaching people for 3 years now at my home in a home gym that I had initially built for myself.
Strength-training is something I have an interest in, but not my main focus… except maybe the deadlift ;) My main focus/specialty is helping people look good naked (and clothes fitting them better), with the minimum effective dose of exercise and dietary changes. Performance improvements, especially in strength/strength-endurance are valued but are a secondary priority.
I have a slight disdain for my own profession, in so far as the obsession with the superficial bodily changes are concerned. No, not the big ones. But the anxiety attacks over a bit of love handles.
What I love about what I do is the mental, emotional and personality transformation that often happens with the physical.
I've done my Bachelors degree in Business and I am still somewhat fascinated by the world of management. I enjoy movies, real conversations, and a pointless good time. I love reading. Especially fiction (not literary stuff though), psychology, neuroscience and some science in general, philosophy, religion and atheism, some history, world and national happenings, some marketing, business, economics - basically anything to do with human behaviour. If any of you guys are on Goodreads add me up.
As of now, my goals are not strength-based. I'm currently in U.S. training at Mike Robertson's IFAST as a client because shoulder and knee issues had stagnated my training for a long time. Its like a train and learn vacation for me.
