Thanks Ashiem for replying.
once you reach a certain point in your training when doing singles can really help
Well this was the point I was looking the answer for.
Oh so SDT doesn't work? Cool…do some Singles."
This was not what I meant. I asked it generally just taking an example.
Basically, once you are hitting 95%+ or so of your max or your relative max week in and week out, then you can experiment with singles to see how you respond. You have to have a firm foundation though. So the longer you have been training in that 90%+ range then you are doing well.
This sums up pretty much as perfect to me.
Anshul, are you having problems with SDT and now you want something else?
ROFL….I guess you are missing Bhargab here….:D
On a serious note, I am progressing satisfactorily with SDT I feel. Since I am training with higher reps relatively so that foundation that you were speaking of above, is being built up strong. I am yet to cross 85% in my lifts so 90-95% is a distant dream as of now and hence singles are out of picture for me. I am content with SDT.
Btw why do my queries always raise some suspicion in your mind? :D
