am a new member here…..so please pardon miss outs if any at my end…will be seeking advises time to time..
What kind of a silly username is that??
will be seeking advises time to time..
This is not a site wherein you just pop in, we give you help for free, and then you bounce out…and then you bounce back in when you feel like it, take some more "advices" for free, then you bounce out…blah blah blah… You should help out..post a journal, read all of Eric's articles, post questions in them, etc.
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
"If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything."
"Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow."
Ashiem Bhai, instead of complementing me on what i have said..please put your energy into constructive adivse..some how i get a feeling that you are irritated by my queries on Rizwan's template..If this is how treat queries..then please tell me clearly i will sign off from here..when did i say i will bounce out from here…either i am unable to explain you my points or you are unwilling to read them with a positive thought…Each forum has its own rules and regulations but a new joinee needs some time to get all of them……I have been reading Eric's articles on daily basis…this has prompted me to join in here….so bro be at ease.
I can assure you that Ashiem is not irritated by your inquiries into Rizwan's template. He is simply perplexed by it. As was I. It is actually quite unusual for someone to post with questions about another member's template with no prior introduction. That is like walking into someone's house and trying on their shoes. After all it is that individual's template and meant for that person alone. So that is the origin of Ashiem's response.
As for the rest of it, we have a rash of people who come here seeking free training advice when it suits them and ONLY when it suits them, but make no contributions whatsoever to the forum. You clearly said you would be asking advice "from time to time" and that makes it sound like you will bounce in and out when it suits you…just like Ashiem said. Ashiem is a GUS administrator and he feels, as I do, that there should be a give and take. Right now we have a lot of take and no give so we are growing weary of people asking for free advice with no intention of giving anything back to the site in terms of posting. It is the same thing with the Facebook page. People bounce in, ask for advice, and bounce out. We could easily charge hundreds of dollars for what we do, but we do it for free.
None of this may reflect your intentions and if so that is great. But right now I would advise that you do not tell Ashiem what he should put his energies into as owes you or anyone else nothing. He gives more than enough of himself to other people's training, asking nothing whatsoever in return. If he thinks that, reading between the lines, someone sounds like they are not going to put the same amount of effort into it as we do to help, he is going to state that bluntly.
Thanks Eric for welcoming me here…
I do not really have any intentions which you have mentioned above…it is true neither does Asheim owe me anything nor he is bound to reply to my query…i think it is some form of misunderstanding that has been created by my abrupt posting on rizwan's thread…..but please see my case…i first read rizwan's template and asked Ashiem the query personally on FB..he asked me to post it on GUS..which i misunderstood as FB page of GUS..then he called me Lazy there and asked me post on gustrength website…which irritated me a bit (the lazy part) and in a hurry i forgot to introduce my self here..
But one thing I can assure you is that I am here to learn and not make a mess what it seems presently…regarding my giving back to site i would definitely do the required at my end…I appreciate the hard work and time all the GUS people have put in because everyone has their own personal commitments also and sparing time for this in today's lifestyle deserves applaud.
Thanks again for helping me out in this one…
The Facebook page is meant as a follow page for those who like to use FB to keep up with their favorite things. It is not meant as a replacement for the site and it does not function very well as a forum, imo. Sorry that this confusion occured. I am thinking seriously about whether the Facebook page is worth having because it does not serve it's purpose very well which is to engage people IN Gus not to replace GUS.
