I've recently gotten back to doing Dumbbell Rows and I've been very conservative in my progression with these.
I don't have access to youtube at this moment but I do my rows with one arm on the bench for support and both feet placed outside shoulder width away from the bench. I've been experiencing quite a bit of elbow pain when I finish each set and lower the dumbbell. I have a feeling that is because I am probably keeping my elbows soft/bent when I should have them locked out…I just want confirmation on this because it's beginning to annoy me.
Something else which I have noticed is that when I do a lot of weighted pull-ups, I have to be careful about locking out the elbows at the bottom of every rep: if I stay just shy of lockout I always end up with severe elbow pain and discomfort.
This is why I figure that keeping my elbows too soft may be the cause of this pain on the rows as well.
