I had a stroke about 3 1/2 years ago. I was 48 years old, and 100 lbs overweight. Fortunately I don't have many long term effects from it. The doc told me a lot of probably important stuff, but the only thing I remember was" You dont know how lucky you are, if you have another one, which is pretty likely, you better hope that you die…..otherwise your wife will be feeding you and changing your diaper for the next 30 years"
THAT was a wakeup call, long story even longer, In the next 5 1/2 months I lost 110 lbs, got down to 165, since then I have added about 10 lbs ….mostly muscle….competed in, and won several local powerlifting meets….BUT…..got distracted lately by losing sight of my goals, believing too much of what I read on the internet, and forgetting what got me here. My weight is still at 175 (Been almost 3 years) but my lifting was all over the place and very hap hazard.
