The only method of persuasion I have in these situations is simply saying "Eric said it's alright" and since I've known Mr. Troy for 4-5 years now, that argument does the trick :-D

LOL, really? Tooooo muuuuuch pressure.

I thought about going off on that 'teen growth' bs article you just linked Nate but it's really a waste of time. I've said it all before and responding to uninformed crap like that is giving it more respect than it deserves. If the person that wrote that had said it here then of course I would respond but I decided to leave that alone. But anybody who decides to click on that link should read the article here first.

Oh, and you cannot change the way certain people think….for my parents, if I was to tell them absolutely anything related to supplements they'd just tell me no. The only method of persuasion I have in these situations is simply saying "Eric said it's alright" and since I've known Mr. Troy for 4-5 years now, that argument does the trick :-D

I'm not saying that your efforts are worthless - I'm just telling you not to get discouraged by your mom and to look for other options instead of beating at this one.

Why does this even matter? Take your whey and grow…..You don't need creatine - as a matter of fact you don't even need Whey if you get enough food.

Look, if you're on a budget (as I am), primarily because we're students, so save the money and just buy some whey, some maltose or dextrose and start lifting those weights. Results will come.

I guess I shouldn't have said it wasn't proper usage. What I was thinking, when I wrote that, is that its not needed.

Back in the day the only way to take it was to 'load'.

Yeah, for sure, Nate, it's not the end of the world. NO supplement is crucial…that's why they're called supplements and not crucials.

I don't like loading either, Joe. I wouldn't call it "improper" but I would call it a waste of creatine. Yes, it does speed up saturation but you're also wasting a lot and for me it's uncomfortable for my gut to take so much in a day.

Yeah, that's the typical myth that people use. It's nothing against your Uncle or Mother, they just don't know and they're looking out for you.

Just to re-iterate: Creatine has not been proven harmful over long or short term use. Pretty much the only time it would be harmful to your kidneys is if you had some pre-existing condition. I'm not sure if super-dosing or loading is harmful, but neither one is proper usage and both are pointless.

If you aren't able to take it….the sky won't fall on your head. :)

Then have her read this. The "creatine is bad for your kidneys" has been debunked for some time now. It's myth. Everything's in this article. Did you read it?
